Super Powers

My secret super power is fundraising!  I'm not afraid to ask my community for MONEY - whether for PTO, Booster Clubs, my own nonprofit!  Sure it's a little uncomfortable but fundraising has to be done!  Nonprofits can't run without money.  
All that being said, sometimes I don't want to do it or it feels overwhelming to ask for more money.  

We ran out of books to fill our last round of applications so we had to begin our fundraising campaign early.  An amazing thing happened.  In addition to having a successful Facebook fundraiser, we received 100s of books from our community, an offer of new books from a foundation and a monetary donation from a different foundation.  Just when I thought I might give up, I received a sign to keep on plugging along.  Thank you to everyone for your continued support.  I keep saying it takes a village to do just about anything but I believe it.
